Writing text on the PATH with Photoshop CS – Part 2

In the screenshot you can see the path after some adjustments of the anchor points and the tangent handles.
If while drawing the curve, you want to change the shape of the curve you can hold down the CTRL key and your pen tool will change to a direct selection tool . You can move the anchor point or the tangents of the curve to your needs. Once you leave the CTRL key it will switch back to the Pen tool and you can draw again.

I readjusted the anchor points with the help of the Direct Selection Tool. tut6-directtool.jpg (just above the pen tool,in the toolbar)

To type text on the path, select the Type tool tut6-typetool.jpg from the tool bar and move your mouse closer to the path, the shape of the pointer changes to ‘I’ with a little curve at the bottom (see screenshot). Once u get this icon change, click once, and the cursor will blink on the path

Once u see the cursor blinking, change the size of the font, if required. Although you can change it later as well.
At the top open the size drop down menu. In this case I selected a size of 60pt.
